Ibanez JS2450 Story
The JS2450 was a continuation of the JS2410. The alder body and the 3 piece Maple/Bubinga JS Prestige neck made for a successful combination, as did the pickups combo. The JS2450 featured the DiMarzio Satch Track and Mo’ Joe signature pickups, which had been chromed in order to match the finish. Speaking of finish, Ibanez came up with the MCP Muscle Car Purple color, a strange beautiful association between a sparkle texture and a deep purple.
The Ibanez JS2450 had 24 frets, the thin 6105 with a Prestige Edge Treatment. The tremolo was an original Edge as standard in the prestige series since 2011 and the Ultralite Tremolo Bar is now a reference for JS guitars.
Satch told us in our exclusive interview in the summer of 2014 that the JS2450 may have a big sister with a Sustainiac pickup on it instead of the Satch Track. Watch this space.
