JS 900

Ibanez JS900 Story

The JS900 was introduced in 1998 and it was basically a simplified and more affordable version of the JS1000. It still had the DiMarzio PAF Pro & FRED pickups, the same basswood body and JS neck shape with the 6105 frets and inlaid abalone dots.

The electronic parts went to the basic core. The high-pass filter and the ability to split the pickups had been removed and the bridge and original Edge replaced the Lo Pro Edge that featured on the JS1000 at this time. The Ibanez JS900 also replaced the JS1000 BP (Black Pearl) outside the USA in favor of the JS1000 BTB that was sold in Europe.
